This [CLCB's Construction Workforce Training Program] is my platform. I've wanted this for years. This is my breakthrough, my chance, my everything.

Workforce Training Program

City Life Community Builders' workforce training program addresses the high unemployment rate and crime in disinvested neighborhoods in East Baltimore, as well as the high demand for skilled construction workers due to an aging workforce and the lack of training provided to young people in the construction trades

  • The unemployment rate in the communities approaches nearly 56% for working-age men.

  • Crime statistics are significantly higher for both violent crimes and property crimes, with a significant number of these crimes committed by individuals involved in the illegal drug trade who have no other means of financial support.

This program serves the unemployed East Baltimore residents, primarily between the ages of 18 to 29, facilitating the development of their professional and personal skills.
