Hoen Community Garden
Transformation and Tree-planting
The Collington Square Neighborhood Association in partnership with City Life Community Builders, Cross Street Partners, and the Parks and People Foundation adopted a vacant trash and needle-strewn lot on the corner of East Biddle and North Collington and transformed it into a beautiful butterfly garden. Over 30 volunteers worked together to clear debris, move rocks, plant trees and flowers, and build benches. A community naming contest was held and thanks to everyone's hard work and dedication, the "Hoen Community Garden" is now a beautiful and inviting place that the community enjoys.
